
Brian has been passionate about music since the age of seven. Growing up between Colorado Springs and West Africa gave him a unique appreciation for different cultures and the ways music connects people across backgrounds. Brian's primary instrument is piano, though he also enjoys guitar and clarinet. He earned a Bachelor of Music Education degree from Cedarville University and has collaborated with several local composers. As a teacher, Brian creates a fun, encouraging environment where students can build confidence, develop their skills, and discover a lifelong love of music. When he's not teaching, he enjoys reading, hiking, traveling, and making one too many cups of espresso.

John has loved music for as long as he can remember. A Dublin, Ohio native, he grew up participating in choir, band, theatre, and a variety of musical activities. He earned a Bachelor of Musical Arts degree from Bowling Green State University, where he studied voice under Chelsea Cloeter.John has performed with elite choirs, concert bands, vocal jazz groups, professional recording sessions, and professional ensembles. His diverse musical background fuels his passion for teaching and helping students grow.In lessons, John combines practical technique with an understanding of how the body creates music, always focusing on making learning enjoyable and rewarding. Outside of music, he enjoys tabletop games, racquetball, and following sports.

Graduate of the Cleveland Institute of Music, Tom has been studying and playing music his entire life. He has played in ensembles ranging from symphonic orchestra and big band to jazz blues and rock. He has performed and traveled extensively throughout the United States. He has also worked as a producer and arranger in the studio, working with recording artists and also doing commercials for radio and tv. He has been teaching music in central Ohio for over twenty years. Tom is currently the director of the strings program at Union Scioto schools in Ross County and music director for the Contemporary Worship Service at Ascension Lutheran Church in Columbus.

Jenna has had a lucrative start to what promises to be an exciting opera career. Recent performance highlights include Sorceress in Dido and Aeneas, Prince Orlofsky in Die Fledermaus, and Orfeo in Orfeo ed Euridice. Hunnicutt’s voice has been called “one of the most beautiful I’ve known” by Dr. Scott McCoy, author of Your Voice: An Inside View. Touring with national choirs has led to performances from the Denali range in Alaska to the esteemed Carnegie Hall in New York City. Hunnicutt received a music degree from Ball State University and is pursuing an MA in Voice Pedagogy from the Ohio State University, where they just received The Swank Voice Lab Award for Excellence in Voice Pedagogy.

Justine is a violinist and teacher. She received her Bachelor’s degree in Violin Performance at Northern Arizona University in 2015, and a Master’s in Violin Performance from the same institution in 2017. During her undergraduate studies, Justine registered work in the Suzuki violin method for books one through four, and taught private and group lessons using this method. Justine has also taught an undergraduate Ear Training course, and served as a teaching assistant for music history and theory courses during her graduate studies. Justine performed with the Flagstaff Symphony Orchestra from the fall of 2012 until 2017. For the last few years, she has taught violin and viola students from ages 5 to 84. She aims to instill a love of music into her students.

Whitney Schwenker began her musical journey at age 8 with piano lessons and later added violin and clarinet. She earned a Bachelor of Music Education from Miami University in 2011 and a Master of Music Education from VanderCook College of Music in 2018.Whitney has spent her career as a music educator, teaching in public schools and building successful band programs. She is especially passionate about working with beginners and helping students develop a strong musical foundation.Her favorite part of teaching is watching new musicians gain confidence as they create their very first sounds and discover the joy of making music.

Evan is a dedicated pianist and music educator with advanced degrees in piano performance, piano pedagogy, and music history. He earned his Bachelor of Music in Piano Performance from Capital University and completed two master's degrees at Ohio University in Piano Pedagogy/Performance and Music History and Literature.Evan is passionate about both teaching and research, with presentations on music technology, piano pedagogy, and innovative teaching methods. His academic work has also focused on bringing lesser-known piano repertoire to a wider audience.In lessons, Evan combines a strong foundation in piano technique and musicianship with a thoughtful, student-centered approach that helps students grow in both skill and confidence.

Kevin is a multi-instrumentalist, vocalist, composer, and performer with a diverse professional background spanning theater, live performance, recording, and songwriting. Originally from West Virginia, he earned performance degrees in trumpet and vocal music from Alderson-Broaddus College and has performed with numerous ensembles, touring productions, bands, and theater companies throughout his career.Kevin has worked as a professional musician, actor, music director, session musician, and recording artist, performing styles ranging from rock and country to jazz and musical theater. Most recently, he joined the 249th Army Band as a bassist and trumpeter.Kevin believes music should be both rewarding and enjoyable, and he is passionate about helping students build confidence, develop their skills, and discover a lifelong love of music.

Nic is a Columbus-based musician, vocalist, and multi-instrumentalist who teaches voice, piano, guitar, ukulele, and bass. He earned his Bachelor of Music in Vocal Performance from The Ohio State University and has performed professionally in opera productions ranging from Columbus to Prague.In addition to his work as a performer, Nic is an active singer-songwriter and operates his own recording studio. His diverse musical background allows him to help students develop strong fundamentals while exploring the styles and music they love most.When he's not making music, Nic enjoys spending time with friends, discovering great food, and playing chess.

Julia has been surrounded by music her entire life. A lifelong flutist and educator, she studied under renowned flute professor Kathrine Borst Jones and performed with prestigious ensembles including the Columbus Symphony Youth Orchestra, Columbus Youth Jazz Band, and the All-Ohio State Band.Julia earned a Bachelor of Arts in Music from Rhode Island College and has taught private music lessons to students of all ages. After serving in the United States Army and spending more than 20 years in the telecommunications industry, she returned to her true passion—music education and music's ability to enrich lives.As an Early Childhood Music Teacher, Julia loves helping young students discover the joy of music while building confidence, creativity, and foundational musical skills. She believes music is one of life's greatest gifts and is passionate about sharing that gift with every student she teaches.

Elizabeth is an accomplished flutist and music educator with degrees in music performance from Wright State University and Arizona State University. Throughout her studies, she earned numerous honors, including winning the Wright State University School of Music Concerto Competition and receiving prestigious scholarships and performance awards.Elizabeth has performed as a soloist with orchestra and has appeared with a variety of ensembles, including symphony orchestras, flute choirs, and contemporary music groups. Her extensive performance background helps her inspire students to build strong technique, confidence, and musicianship.Elizabeth is passionate about helping students reach their musical goals while fostering a lifelong appreciation for music. Outside of teaching, she enjoys cooking, spending time with family and friends, and exploring the outdoors with her dog, Rey.

As a drummer and percussionist, Kyle has performed with Vic Juris, Todd Coolman, Pete Malinverni, Jon Faddis, Wessell "Warmdaddy" Anderson, Tony Monaco, Rick Depofi, Radam Schwartz, Cameron Brown, and James Weidman. He also has a master’s degree in Jazz Studies from Purchase College in New York. He has composed music for theatre, television, and film. Television shows include Homicide Hunter: Lt. Joe Kenda, Sins & Secrets, Disappeared, Fatal Attraction. He also scored films for Magic Dog Productions, B12 Productions, Killer Goose Films, and Wildlife Productions. As an educator he has taught as an adjunct professor at William Paterson University, Purchase College SUNY, The Thurnauer School of Music, and The School of Rock.

Myra discovered her love for music in elementary school when she began playing the violin. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Violin Performance from The Ohio State University in 2024, where she studied under Kia-Hui Tan and performed with the Symphony Orchestra as well as various chamber ensembles.While classical violin remains her first passion, Myra also enjoys contemporary music and has experience performing in a wide range of musical settings. She also plays piano and enjoys helping students explore music through multiple avenues.Myra is passionate about creating a fun, encouraging learning environment where students can build confidence and independence while reaching meaningful milestones. Outside of teaching, she enjoys reading, drawing, and crocheting.

Sarah has been passionate about music from a young age, beginning piano and flute lessons while growing up in Worthington, Ohio. She earned a Bachelor of Arts from Baldwin Wallace Conservatory of Music and a Master of Music in Flute Performance from Belmont University in Nashville, Tennessee.Sarah has studied with several distinguished musicians and has performed with pit orchestras, chamber groups, contemporary music ensembles, and orchestras throughout Ohio, Pennsylvania, and Tennessee. Her broad musical background allows her to connect with students who have a wide variety of interests and goals.Sarah believes music should be both meaningful and enjoyable, helping students develop their skills while discovering the beauty and joy found in making music. Outside of teaching, she enjoys reading, musicals, Disney, and traveling.

David Esselburn has been immersed in music from an early age, growing up in a musical family and participating in a wide variety of ensembles throughout his education. He earned a Bachelor of Music degree from Muskingum University and continued his graduate studies at Bowling Green State University. As a percussionist, David has performed with jazz bands, orchestras, wind ensembles, percussion ensembles, rock bands, and steel drum groups. His teaching experience includes drumlines, percussion ensembles, and private instruction in drum set, concert percussion, and marching percussion. David believes every student learns differently and tailors his teaching approach to fit each individual's goals and learning style. His mission is to help students build confidence, develop their skills, and foster a lifelong love of music. Outside of teaching, he enjoys video games, tabletop gaming, and keeping up with the latest Marvel movies.

Bryan Percoco is a pianist, composer, and guitarist. He was invited to tour internationally as a pianist with New York City-based music education company 'Discover Melody'. Percoco's orchestra compositions have been performed by the Brno Philharmonic and Janacek Philharmonic in the Czech Republic. He has studied, performed, and premiered his own compositions throughout Europe. Among these were the Highscore Festival and Soundscape Festival in Italy and the Upbeat International Summer School in Milna, Croatia. He has performed as part of the OSU-N "Great Performer Series" and as part of concert series at the Toledo Museum of Art. Percoco's orchestra music and chamber music has been awarded as finalist and semi-finalist in the American Prize National Competition. Percoco earned a MM and BM from the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music. Percoco greatly enjoys teaching and is versatile, teaching styles ranging from jazz/blues, classical, rock, and many other popular styles.

Kaleb has been surrounded by music his entire life, growing up in a musical family in Findlay, Ohio. He studied music at Ohio University and has spent more than a decade performing, recording, composing, and teaching as a professional musician.As a multi-instrumentalist, songwriter, and performer, Kaleb has shared his original music with audiences across the country and has extensive experience in recording and sound production. Since moving to Columbus in 2020, he has continued teaching students of all ages while performing with his band, The Burning Brain Band.Kaleb believes music is one of the most powerful forms of self-expression and works closely with each student to create lessons tailored to their individual interests, goals, and learning style. His passion is helping students build confidence, creativity, and a lifelong connection to music.

Jara E., known to her students as “JP,” has been teaching music since she was thirteen years old. A classically trained pianist since age seven, she discovered a passion for teaching early on while mentoring under her own instructor. In addition to piano, JP also teaches voice, guitar, and ukulele.Throughout her musical journey, JP has performed in recitals, participated in songwriting competitions, and pursued a wide range of musical interests. She studied at the Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music before leaving to pursue professional performance opportunities alongside her teaching career.JP is passionate about helping students achieve their individual musical goals and believes every student deserves a personalized approach. Whether learning piano, voice, guitar, or ukulele, her lessons combine strong fundamentals with an encouraging, enthusiastic environment that makes learning music both rewarding and fun.

Ian Quimba has been passionate about music since beginning piano lessons at age seven. A pianist and educator with more than 20 years of teaching experience, he has served as a church accompanist, rehearsal pianist, and performer in school musicals, cantatas, and choral programs.Ian specializes in helping students develop strong technical foundations while building confidence, creativity, and musical expression. He believes great musicianship comes from a balance of disciplined practice, thoughtful technique, and emotional connection to the music, whether students are studying classical, pop, or other styles.Currently pursuing certification with the Music Teachers National Association (MTNA), Ian is dedicated to helping students grow into well-rounded musicians. Outside of teaching, he enjoys traveling with his family, attending concerts and Broadway productions, and finding inspiration in live performances by world-class musicians.

Sheri is an Ohio native who began her classical guitar studies at the age of 9; at the age of 14, she joined the Ohio State University Classical Guitar Ensemble as its youngest member. When she was 18, Sheri was accepted to the classical guitar department in the College-Conservatory of Music at the University of Cincinnati (CCM), where she studied with Maestro Clare Callahan and earned a Bachelor of Music Degree with focus on performance studies. While at CCM, Sheri performed in multiple masterclasses with renowned performing/recording artist, Oscar Ghiglia. In 2014, Sheri joined the Atlanta Guitar Guild Classical Guitar Orchestra as a first chair member until leaving Atlanta in 2017. During her time in Atlanta, Sheri was also a member of the flute/classical guitar duo, Intreccia. Sheri has been a performer and teacher for many years. Currently, she enjoys performing with Duo Kapelle, a classical guitar/classical mandolin duo. In addition to playing guitar, Sheri enjoys golfing.

Quinn has a strong foundation in jazz piano, specializing in jazz theory, improvisation, and soloing, bringing both technical skill and creative expression into every lesson. He studied at the Conservatory of Piano, where he refined his musicianship and cultivated a versatile, performance-driven approach to playing. In addition to his training, Quinn has been actively performing at gigs around the Columbus area for several years, gaining real-world experience that shapes his practical and engaging teaching style. As an educator, he focuses on building confidence while developing a strong musical foundation. His teaching blends structured classical learning with creativity and expression, encouraging students to explore improvisation and truly connect with the music they play. Quinn believes that learning piano should be both rewarding and enjoyable. By tailoring lessons to each student’s goals and learning style, he fosters an environment where growth feels natural and music becomes a lasting passion.

Bryce is a multi-instrumentalist, composer, and educator with a diverse background in performance, jazz studies, and music education. Originally from West Virginia, he earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Music Performance from Marshall University and a Master of Music in Jazz Composition from the University of Tennessee, where he studied with internationally recognized jazz artists and educators.Bryce has taught private lessons, jazz theory, jazz history, and ensemble programs at the collegiate level while maintaining an active career as a performer and composer. His primary instruments are saxophone and clarinet, but he also teaches piano, guitar, flute, and other instruments. His musical experience spans a wide range of styles including jazz, classical, rock, pop, funk, Latin jazz, and folk music.Bryce believes every student has unique goals and interests, and he tailors lessons to help each musician build strong fundamentals while developing their own musical voice. Outside of music, he is passionate about film and is an award-winning filmmaker.
