ABOUT OUR GUITAR LESSONS

Our guitar lessons include acoustic, electric, and bass guitar. We have an excellent guitar teaching staff and teach guitar lessons in many styles, including rock, jazz, classical, pop, Spanish, and Chording. Many of our teachers actively perform in bands.

Our guitar teachers are highly qualified and they know how to teach the proper theory and technique no matter if a student is interested in metal or in classical. Guitar lessons at our schools are enhanced by the opportunity of learning how to jam with other musicians in a rock band setting put together by the instructors or how to perform solo in one of our recitals. No matter what type of guitar lessons you are interested in, we have the teachers to help you.

Typically, a student has to be 6 years old before starting guitar lessons, due to their hand size, but some younger students start with a junior-sized guitar. Our private guitar lessons are one-on-one instruction and lesson lengths are 30 minutes, 45 minutes, or 1 hour with teachers that make music fun!

Frequently Asked Questions About Guitar Lessons:

Do I need my own guitar to take lessons?

Yes, students need their own instrument to practice on at home and to use during their lessons.

How do I know what size guitar to buy?

For children under the age of 10, starting with the right size guitar is crucial to having successful lessons. Younger children don’t have large enough hands to play full-sized guitars, so they need a junior or fractional sized guitar. We are always happy to size children for instruments to make sure they get exactly what they need or you can check out this guitar buying guide for children.

How long will it take me to learn how to play?

Most songs have some really fun riffs, licks, and chords that you could learn in your first couple of lessons. Mastering the fundamentals and learning more challenging songs will take you longer.

Are your instructors qualified?

Our instructors are highly qualified, holding either a degree in music or very extensive performance and playing ability. For our degreed teachers, they have received their education from prestigious institutions such as the Cincinnati Conservatory of Music, The Berklee College of Music, Oberlin College and Conservatory, The Ohio State University, Capital University, and many others. For our instructors with extensive or exceptional performing ability, they are thoroughly vetted by our school owner, Chad Ebert.

In addition to their teaching credentials, our teachers have warm personalities, are extremely friendly and dedicated to teaching you the style of music that you want to learn in your music lessons.
