About our cello lessons
Cello instruction is offered in weekly 30, 45, and 60 minute private lessons. Due to the size of the instrument, we recommend that cello students be at least 10 years old before starting lessons. We work with students of all abilities, from children to adults, and we have many adult beginners.
While our teachers are classically trained, they can help you learn any style of music that you are interested in. Whatever your goals are, our cello teachers will work with you to create a personalized lesson plan.

What do you learn in your cello lessons?
In cello lessons, students will learn proper technique, theory, ear training, sight-reading, and classical repertoire, in addition to selecting music of their choice. Our teachers make it a priority to get to know you on a personal level and to become familiar with your musical interests. At the first lesson, your teacher will ask you about your favorite type of music, and set goals to help accomplish whatever musical aspirations you have for yourself or your child.
Are your cello instructors qualified?
Our instructors are highly qualified, holding either a degree in music or very extensive performance and playing ability. For our degreed teachers, they have received their education from prestigious institutions such as the Cincinnati Conservatory of Music, The Berklee College of Music, Oberlin College and Conservatory, The Ohio State University, Capital University, and many others. For our instructors with extensive or exceptional performing ability, they are thoroughly vetted by our school owner, Chad Ebert.
In addition to their teaching credentials, our teachers have warm personalities, are extremely friendly and dedicated to teaching you the style of music that you want to learn in your music lessons. Do you give student recitals?
Yes, we offer two recitals per year, complete with professionally printed programs and red-carpet recital photos printed for you at no cost.
